At 12:01 on Saturday, October 27, 2007, the sponsors of the Ed Wood Machinima Festival in Second Life announced the theme for this years' films:  "It Came From the Origin of Where Bad Things Come From".

Filmmakers were given just 48 hours to write, shoot and edit their films to meet the midnight Sunday deadline.  The only rules were:  the theme must be in the title of the movie and movies must be 10 minutes or less.

Ed Wood was an American filmmaker who is "revered as the ultimate 'bad' director of all time".  Ed Wood Festivals celebrate filmmaking that is so bad, it's good.
